As part of their real estate education programs, these licensed brokers and salespersons provide assistance to consumers looking to purchase, sell, lease, or exchange real property. Their services include appraising property for basic valuations, negotiating purchase, sale, or lease agreements, maintaining escrow accounts, and advertising properties for sale, rent, or lease. Additionally, the Board safeguards consumers by investigating and disciplining licensees who violate the laws and regulations governing the practice of real estate brokering and sales, which can be part of the curriculum in real estate courses in Massachusetts offered at various real estate schools.
